Craig Chepke, MD is a Board-Certified psychiatrist and has been named a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He attended NYU School of Medicine and completed his residency training at Duke University. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Chepke is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
Dr. Chepke has special interests in treatment-resistant and severe mental illness, movement disorders, and sleep medicine. His approach is to personalize treatment to each individual, from the newest leading-edge medications to older underutilized treatments, such as lithium and clozapine. He also strongly emphasizes psychotherapeutic interventions and physical health and wellness through exercise, dietary modification, and supplementation. He is active in clinical trials and serves on the Board of Directors of nonprofit organizations benefiting schizophrenia and Huntington’s Disease.
Dr. Chepke is a psychiatrist at Excel Psychiatric Associates, P.A. in Huntersville, North Carolina. It was started by him and his wife, Tiffany Chepke, LCSW, in 2012.
